Dear Phoenix Bloggs,
I have two questions. 1) In elementary school, there would be a yearbook cover drawing contest. Is there one in Fallon too (if there is a yearbook)? 2) I love writing and would like to join a club for writing. I heard of this organization called ICN. But, so far, I've only seen 7th and 8th graders. Is there any way to join if you're just a 6th grader? I also know that journalism is writing too but, is a class only for 7th and 8th graders. I most likely won't join journalism next year either. (Awwwwww...) Is there anything I can join that includes writing in it (that's within the school)? Thanks!

Hey there Althea,
To answer your first question, I'm not quite sure if there is a yearbook cover drawing contest, but it seems like that would be an AWESOME idea!! My advice would be asking Yearbook people if there is an event like that in the school (yes we do have a yearbook :) ) But if they don't, try suggesting it to them. I'm sure that they will take it into consideration!
Moving on to your second question, I bet if you asked the organizer they would try their hardest to find a way for you to join the class. :)
As far as I know about clubs that involve writing, journalism and ICN are the two. However, I am quite curious as well, so I will look into that for future reference. But what's stopping you from creating a club? I'm sure that your love for writing is shared among other students in Fallon. Even though it would be nice to have more clubs that involve writing, this is only a suggestion, so don't feel forced to do it. :)
Also from my experience with Journalism, I would have to say that this class is pretty fun! Everyone is always looking out for each other, as if we were a small family. It's a shame that they don't provide it for 6th graders... And it's too bad that you won't be able to join it next year either, it's an awesome class.
Thank you for your comment Althea! I hoped this helped you!
Until next time,
