Welcome to Fallon Wrestling! The coaches of this program are Mrs. Volk and Mike Lemas. Kids attending practice four times a week at Dublin High School, and they do lots of intense exercises. The season lasts from January to April. Matches are competed at Castro Valley, Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, and San Ramon. If you want to show off your wrestling talents, definitely consider joining this athletic program.
On February 25th, there was a wrestling tournament. There were many wins and losses. Many people got pinned down, and it was a really exciting tournament. Something that is challenging during the tournament is, someone is fighting you with one hundred percent intensity, so you’ll have to be strong and prepared. There was another league tournament which took place at March 26, and Fallon took third place overall. The sixth-grade league champions included Kevin Vago and Jon Thalblum. Bradley Mehr, Jose Ramos, and Andrew Kim were the seventh- grade winners. The eighth-grade victorious winners were Andrew Won and Lane Borchard. This tournament was also pretty exciting because many people got pinned down, and it is just fun to watch them fight.
Fallon Wrestling is a great place for students who like to wrestle. Students who can commit to practicing four times a week, should definitely think about doing Fallon wrestling next year. Mrs. Volk said that she will definitely see herself doing this in the future. She is really nice and dedicated, so you should try attending this program in the future if you are interested in wrestling!
