Do you want to learn cool dance moves you can show your friends, or you can try at the Fallon dances? Well the Fallon Hip Hop Club is the right club for you. You’ll learn the worm, coffee grinder, cool partner tricks, and other great dance moves.
The club began last year in an attempt to bring the art of hip hop to our school. The
team leaders, Mrs.Volk, Matthew Chi, John Kim, Jessica Bronken, Julianna Hernandez, Andrew Svoboda, and Clarisse Yee, wanted to show people what they enjoy through dancing and give others or new dancers a way to express themselves through dance.
“Don’t be afraid, everyone is learning something new and there is no competition.”
says Clarisse Yee, the president of the club.
The members will be learning Jazz, Funk Hip Hop, and Lyrical Hip Hop. The
performance team will perform for the school and in areas outside of Fallon Middle School.
If you are serious about taking your dancing to the next level, then tryout for the
performance team. If you’re afraid with performing and isn’t that serious, join the training team. You can still learn a lot with less pressure. The training team is open throughout the year for everyone. Once you get confident with dancing you have a chance to be bumped up to the the performance team if you’re ready.
A tip from the team leaders it that practicing gives you most of your confidence.
Dancing takes a lot of precision and practice makes perfect. So come on over Mustangs, and bust your moves at the Fallon Hip Hop Club!
